This book is Volume 2 of 7 of the series, “How To Lose Weight Fast , Keep it Off & Renew The Mind, Body & Spirit Through Fasting, Smart Eating & Practical Spirituality.”Intermittent fasting is becoming an increasingly-popular way to lose weight quickly without having to commit to long-term diets. By cutting out some foods from your diet and then practicing periods of fasting of just a few hours per week (for starters), it is possible to lose weight very quickly. A 4 hour fast 3 times per week can actually produce weight loss of 7-to-10 pounds per month (or more depending on your body makeup). And this is just the beginning. In ‘The Intermittent Fasting Weight Loss Formula,’ the author presents a five-prong structure of intermittent fasting that can help you get started right away, even if you work full-time, have a family and follow a very hectic schedule

Tabata training is intense: So if you don’t have the guts to do it on your own, find someone to suffer next to you. Trust me that’ll keep you going, if you’d have long surrendered if you had trained alone. Some gyms even offer special courses. Most of you will probably be familiar with the ultra-short + ultra-intense HIIT prescription that’s known as the Tabata protocol. Not really?

Surrender bro, women are tougher than we’ll ever be… and let’s not talk about the other tactics by the means of which they trick us into doing whatever they want without us even noticing 😮 In the world of search engines for scientific papers on training and exercise science the acronym “HIIT” is currently what the word “sex” has always been on Google & co. Against that background it is actually surprising that no one else but me has taken notice of a paper on the “Sex specific responses to self-paced, high-intensity interval training with variable recovery periods”.

Intermittent Fasting is not a new concept. Many cultures around the world have been fasting to demonstrate piety during holy days for centuries. However, fasting as a form of weight loss has often been saddled with a bad reputation.

What’s the best protocol for fat loss? Well, it may just be tabata.Tabata is a high intensity training protocol, named after its creator; Dr. Izumi Tabata is a Japanese researcher who conducted a study on elite athletes and found their fitness levels improved by 28% when they performed the prescribed protocol of 20 second intervals of high intensity followed by 10 seconds of rest for a total of eight rounds, equaling four minutes in duration. The key to Tabata protocol is to put forth maximal effort for each 20-second interval. Keep in mind there’s a big difference between maximal effort and an increase in effort, so if you want to blast fat make sure you give it your all!Why Tabata Protocol WorksPerforming steady state cardio and maintaining the same moderate intensity level throughout an entire workout for 30-60 minutes burns calories while you’re in motion. That’s all fine and dandy, but the benefit of high intensity interval training like Tabata is that you can sizzle calories not only during the working intervals, but also during rest periods and for hours after the workout is complete.

You simply cannot start “working out” too early – even if it’s just child’s play.”Three for one!” No, I am not trying to sell you three bottles of “uberpotent” test-boosters for the rat of one. Three for one that’s the SuppVersity Figure of the Week and it is the ratio of the decrease in breast cancer risk in women and the hours of physical activity per week during their adolescence. According to a 2004 review by Lagerros, Hsieh and Hsieh, each additional* hour of weekly physical activity is associated with a -3% risk of developing breast cancer later in life (Lagerros. 2004)Needless to say that the “additional” hours are in addition to the low physical activity in the laziest of the study participants, who had a 20% higher risk of developing breast cancer than their most active peers. So what else do we have today

Dear Mark: HIIT, Omega-3s and Cooking, and Gluten-Free Baked Goods It’s time, yet again, for another edition of Dear Mark. As per usual, I’m doing a roundup of reader questions. First, I cover high intensity interval training, also known as HIIT. It’s the subject of an ongoing study that’s been getting a lot of play in the media, and, while we don’t have access to the as-yet-unpublished research, we do know a little something about HIIT from numerous other studies. Next, a reader asks about the effect of cooking on the omega-3 content and stability of salmon.
