Have you ever fallen down a serious YouTube rabbit hole? Maybe one that made absolutely no sense? I’ve never set foot in a Costco, but I’ve watched hours of Costco haul videos.

Anyone who has stumbled into this genre knows that there’s something bizarrely soothing about listening to gentle narration on the contents of a shopping cart. For actual Costco shoppers, these videos are chock-full of useful tips and tricks to optimize your next shopping expedition.

But these videos are more than soothing and useful — they can be bizarrely riveting, even for someone who has never known the glory of a Kirkland-branded snack.

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “What if Labyrinth were a baking show?” we need to be friends. That might sound like the sort of question a person might ask after a few too many novelty cocktails at a Comic-Con after-party, but fortunately a visionary at Netflix recognized it as the brilliant idea it is. Now the world is getting a wild new cooking show with monster cakes and puppets, and it sounds like it’s going to be completely amazing.

“As my grandmother was approaching her 72nd birthday, I asked her ‘Grandma Lynda, what do you want for your birthday?'” Cher wrote in her diet and exercise book, Forever Fit. “She said, ‘Well, honey, I could really use some new sweat clothes — you know, some nice leotards.’ She had joined a gym near her house, and she just loved going there every day to work out […] My grandmother is living proof that it is never too late to change the way your body and mind can work together so you look and feel your best.”

We don’t mean to stress you out on this Wednesday morning (side note: How is it August already?), but as the title of this post suggests, you have less than 18 hours to take advantage of a great deal on a KitchenAid stand mixer.

See, Amazon is currently selling the KitchenAid Professional 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer for just $219 (it’s usually $450 on Amazon). This sale even beats Costco, the warehouse store with massive bargains, where the mixer is $350. (It’s also worth pointing out that Target currently has a refurbished option on sale for $200.)

When I was growing up we didn’t eat meat on Fridays, and the go-to non-meat item was fish sticks! I don’t have particularly fond memories of them from back then — at best they were bland, and at worst they were pretty soggy — but you had them for dinner and got on with it. Every year during my grandparents’ seasonal migration from New Jersey to Florida, they make a pitstop at an Outback Steakhouse in South Carolina to redeem a coupon for a free Bloomin’ Onion. Yes, indeed, there are Outback Steakhouses all over the Northeast at which they could certainly claim their free fried onion bomb, but this is one of their favorite traditions — so who are we question it?!
