Jerome Ave., has added a new Kidz Fit group exercise program for children ages 6-16 beginning Monday, Oct. 13.Expanding the group fitness program to meet the needs of area residents is one of the main goals of the Katz JCC Fitness Facility, group exercise coordinator Antoinette Wood said.“We saw this as a need in our area and we have been working to develop a kid’s exercise program to bring fitness options for children ages 6-16 aside from the traditional route of sports,” Wood said. “She said the program is designed to provide a workout for the mind as well as the body and improve not only physical fitness but confidence and self-esteem.The schedule includes boxing classes on Monday, Tabata fitness on Wednesday, speed and agility training Tuesday and Thursday, and weight room circuit training Friday.All classes are held 3:45-4:15 p.m

Fasting. Not sure how that word originated as there is nothing fast about a fast. Or, I would imagine so, as I have never participated in one. Yes, I would think fasting would go by S L O W L Y. Yes, ever so slowly.Imaginative hunger pangs, languid pace, energy dips and all, I am intrigued.

2 Flares2 Flares × Exercising from home is really no different than working out at a gym or boot camp, the BIG difference is usually the one you make big. Some women like working out in the privacy and comfort of their own homes, others are embarrassed when starting a program, and yet others are grossed out by sweat, germs, and others using the same equipment in general. I own a women’s fitness boot camp and I am a big believer in community, whether offline or online, I think it’s great to join in SOME type of group that encourages and supports each other.
