As busy as they are, kitchens are just about the germiest places in our homes — especially all those handles. You touch food, you open the oven. Your kids come in after touching who-knows-what and head straight to the fridge (or maybe it’s just mine?). With all that touching comes the risk of cross-contamination of foodborne illnesses and the spread of germs (flu season is coming!).

But the reality is, many of us don’t think about cleaning our appliance handles. At least, I don’t, unless my fridge is so sticky from my kids’ PB&J fingers that it’s dirty to the touch. And I need to get way better about that, because I’m putting us all at risk.

If your weeknight pasta routine has become, well, routine, consider adding this flavorful shrimp dish to the roster. Inspired by Bonefish Grill’s cult-favorite Bang Bang shrimp — beloved for its creamy, sweet, and spicy chili sauce — this recipe is cheaper than dining out, better for you than takeout, and simple enough for even the busiest of nights.

Kitchn’s Delicious Links column highlights recipes we’re excited about from the bloggers we love. Follow along every weekday as we post our favorites.

Last week I found chicken breasts on sale at the grocery store — and it was a big sale, too! — and I squealed with glee as though the Beatles were coming to town, or my favorite canceled TV show just announced it was getting another season.

I am constantly amused by the things that delight me as an adult. (My city just rolled out new recycling bins, and they are fantastic.) My adolescent self would have rolled her eyes at the idea of being excited about a sale on chicken breasts, but my grown-up brain was like, This is a score! With chicken breasts, I can do anything.

The only thing better than a sausage wrapped in tender pastry dough is one that looks like a spooky mummy! Maybe the most iconic Halloween treat of all time, mummy hot dogs have been peeking out of their wrappings on the pages of food magazines since most of us were kids.

But have you actually tried them? These buttery, flaky, ultra-easy snacks aren’t just for kids. Wanna see how to make them?

It isn’t even Halloween yet and some people are already talking about Black Friday. We get it: It’s exciting to know a deal is in your future (especially if it means that holiday shopping can be easier). So we weren’t surprised to wake up on Sunday morning and learn that Costco’s Black Friday circular had already made its way into the hands of the public.

While there’s a decent markdown on laptops and other home electronics, what we really care about are the kitchen-related sales. Here are the bargains we’re most excited about.

As always, Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and will open at 9 a.m. on Black Friday. Some of these deals start before Thanksgiving, though.

Restaurant kitchens and home kitchens are both designed for the work of putting food on a plate — but resemblances end there. Restaurant kitchens bristle with the industrial and the oversized: bowls you could bathe a toddler in, medieval vats of hot oil, flat-top griddles with the square footage of a very nice Manhattan kitchen.

Pro chefs cook on a larger scale, with tools that don’t always translate to home cooking, especially for a beginner cook who just needs to know the difference between sauté and braise.

But there is one extremely chef-y show-off tool that I deeply believe every cook, of every ability level, should own — and you’re gonna love it!

2 more Q. What about the roast type?

Are there any real differences in the beans origins? More of X, less of it…etc, ?

Personal experience, leads me to believe Im a fast metabolizer. As caffeine doesnt seem to bother me at all. I can drink it late into the day, and still get a good nights sleep.

I use organic beans, drink it black or with a dollop of 1/2&1/2. Hot or cold.

One question, whats the real story about the addition of dairy and if it reduces the beneficials of coffee?
