I was in seventh grade when “Gilmore Girls” first aired on the WB. While I navigated the awkward and angsty landscape that is middle school, “Gilmore Girls” was an escape; a quirky, whimsical world I could retreat to. A lot has changed since 2000, but I still love the show, which is why I couldn’t contain my excitement about the news of a “Gilmore Girls” revival on Netflix.

If you’re also a fan of “Gilmore Girls,” you know that food — between Friday night dinners at Richard and Emily’s house, breakfast at Luke’s Diner, and takeout from Al’s Pancake World — plays a huge role in the show.
