Max Falkowitz is a self-described “ice cream whisperer.” When I first started really getting into ice cream, I tried to read everything he wrote on the subject while he was an editor at Serious Eats. I wasn’t even aware that I wore my motorcycle boots in the kitchen until my boyfriend mentioned it. We were drinking coffee and eating breakfast — pancakes, probably, or biscuits, or French toast.
