This week, I’ve begun an eight week program called Tabata Bootcamp at Positively Fit Lake Highlands. The instructors are Mallory Dubuclet and Ann Marie Sager. These two women are so inspiring and dedicated to helping their clients make healthy choices. I love them.

A lot of people are calling it Tabata training, which is interval training requiring you to kick butt for 20 seconds, rest for 10, as you cycle through a series of exercises. Some workouts are done in 8 minutes or less

The Tabata drills we’ve been adding into classes and private sessions lately elicit a lot of “OMGs” and “holy cows!” (or words to that effect). So while we’re adding them to our sessions, clients are still wondering things like if I’m saying ciabatta, or if Tabata is pronounced like Tabitha without the “th”. So I said I’d write up a little Tabata 101 low down to give everyone some background. Here we go
