Intermittent Fasting Matters (Sometimes): There Is No Such Thing As A “Calorie” To Your Body, Part VIII In previous installments, we’ve proven the following:A calorie is not a calorie when you eat it at a different time of day. A calorie is not a calorie when you eat it in a differently processed form. A calorie is not a calorie when you eat it as a wholly different food. A calorie is not a calorie when you eat it as protein, instead of carbohydrate or fat.

This book is Volume 2 of 7 of the series, “How To Lose Weight Fast , Keep it Off & Renew The Mind, Body & Spirit Through Fasting, Smart Eating & Practical Spirituality.”Intermittent fasting is becoming an increasingly-popular way to lose weight quickly without having to commit to long-term diets. By cutting out some foods from your diet and then practicing periods of fasting of just a few hours per week (for starters), it is possible to lose weight very quickly. A 4 hour fast 3 times per week can actually produce weight loss of 7-to-10 pounds per month (or more depending on your body makeup). And this is just the beginning. In ‘The Intermittent Fasting Weight Loss Formula,’ the author presents a five-prong structure of intermittent fasting that can help you get started right away, even if you work full-time, have a family and follow a very hectic schedule

2 Flares2 Flares × Exercising from home is really no different than working out at a gym or boot camp, the BIG difference is usually the one you make big. Some women like working out in the privacy and comfort of their own homes, others are embarrassed when starting a program, and yet others are grossed out by sweat, germs, and others using the same equipment in general. I own a women’s fitness boot camp and I am a big believer in community, whether offline or online, I think it’s great to join in SOME type of group that encourages and supports each other.

Two of our favorite excuses for holding onto a few extra pounds and being out of shape: Too little time and too little money. Gym memberships and personal trainers can be very expensive, but they’re not required for getting the body you want. Today I was introduced to Tabata training, also known as “the four-minute miracle fat burner.” It takes very little time and you can easily do it in a small space (like a studio apartment in New York City).RELATED: The At-Home Tabata WorkoutThere are a few different ways to structure a Tabata, but you typically pick one cardio activity (running, jumping rope, biking) or one exercise (burpees, squat jumps, mountain climbers) and perform it at your maximum intensity for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of complete rest, and repeat seven more times.

We all live busy lives and there are a lot of people who claim that they simply dont have time to go to the gym for a long cardio workout or strength training routine. The good news is you don’t need to spend hours on the treadmill or elliptical to burn some serious fat. All you need is four minutes. The type of training I am referring to is a different form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) called Tabata. The basis of Tabata Training is four minutes of intense interval training/circuit training. A good example is sprinting for 20 seconds and then walking for 10 seconds – Repeat 7 more times for a total of 8 sets (which equals approximately four minutes).Get more high-intensity workouts with our Performance Training Video Series >>Tabata Training can be done with a number of different exercises.

This is the first part in our five part series covering intermittent fasting. What if I told you that you’ve been force fed a combination of lies and mistruths your entire life? What if I told you that breakfast isn’t the most important meal of the day? What if I told you eating six small meals per day is more harmful than eating three meals per day, or even one meal per day? What if I told you that skipping meals won’t kill your metabolism
