Posted by Fitocracy on Aug 13, 2013 Now, before we get to the awesome information about the coaching, we want to tell you about our partner. Roman Fitness Systems is the brainchild and main brand of none other than our brother in arms (pun!) John Romaniello. Roman is a high level coach, writer and self-professed nerd.Recently, he added a New York Times best-selling book, to his resume: Man 2.0: Engineering the Alpha – A Real World Guide to an Unreal Life.In other words, Roman knows his stuff! So, with that out of the way, here’s how this will benefit you. As one of our Fito Ambassadors, he’s been looking to get involved in the community, and help more people. He’d also like to use Fito to do things that he hasn’t been able to do.You see, he runs a crazy successful one-on-one online coaching program which allows thousands of people around the world to get in shape, and he is looking for ways to make that even more accessible

Oh cardio, we love to hate you. You take forever; we run on a treadmill going nowhere. (Are we done yet?) If this sounds familiar, consider Tabata training — a super high-intensity workout that not only improves aerobic capacity in about four minutes per session, but also has tons of other benefits. Developed by Dr. Izumi Tabata, lead coach of Japan’s speed skating team, the Tabata method increases your anaerobic threshold with short bursts of hard, fast training via compound movements (which work several muscle groups at once)

Intermittent Fasting 23 Comments Saturday, November 10th, 2007 I received the following email from Xuan Mai who works out at Crossfit NYC. She emailed me a few months ago asking a few questions pertaining to paleo eating and intermittent fasting. Here is what Xuan Mai had to say:Hi Robb,I thought I would give you an update after my first month of Intermittent Fasting especially after the article by you that I read recently on Art Devany’s blog. The first week of IF’ing was difficult but it has gotten better. My fasts are typically between 16-19 hours and I am consuming a predominantly Paleo diet (no grains, no dairy but I do drink caffeinated tea and the once a week espresso). My activity consists of 4 Crossfit workouts per week.
